I am purchasing a 71 pushbutton pantera and it has after market mirrors on it. I would like to convert it to stock or original. However the photos of the early cars did not have any side mirrors on them. From all of the early Road and Track and Car and driver articles I did not see mirrors that came with the car. Does any one know what would be considered original for the early 71 pushbutton cars and if not when were original side mirrors put on the early panteras. Thanks for your info. Ben

As I understand it there are no "stock" mirrors. The mirrors were standard Ford items installed by the dealers. I would imagine there were various Ford mirrors installed depending what was available at the dealership.
