Julian,
Let me know when you get around to doing them. Maybe we can work together on a couple of sets. Like you, I figure it can be done a lot cheaper than the 800.00 vendors are getting for them.
It can't be all that hard.

So, yet another project gets added to the "#7024 to do list", to build a set myself, it can't be that hard surely? A littel while ago I found a source for the Hella H9 90mm lenses in low and high beam complete with mountings and adjusters for about $60 each. With a bit of metal work, some CF and a good chunk of time I reckon I can pull a set together for a reasonable cost. It's not high priority, but when I do get round to it I'll document it and post here.

I was curious about your front bumpers. Were they modified to remove the turn signal lights or does someone have these available?

These are the European 'eyebrow' bumpers, used on the later Panteras that had a signal light pod on the lower fenders. Originals are chromed metal, and I believe rather hard to obtain. Pretty sure the vendors stock a fiberglass version of them, though. Bear in mind, if you have an early car with the chrome bumpers/light housings, you lose your turn signals when changing to the European bumpers. The Euro and L-Panteras had a metal pod on the lower fenders that held the later style turn signal units. Kirk Evans is working on a fiberglass copy of these pods. When (if) available, you could mount a pair of the pod-style turn signals lights in Kirk's fiberglass pods. Or mount the GT5/GT5S two color amber/clear signal lights in the pods. Lots of options on the bumper look - you just make your choice and pay your money ;-)

Randy, that looks pretty good.

If you drive your car at night along dimly lit roads, I can see this being at the top of the safety upgrade list.

Husker, here is another conversion to pre L BUMPERS. Turn signals were separate. The process is listed at http://panteraplace.com/page105.htm

Go for it.
Let me know if you put one together. I'd be interested.
I've done 2 on wheels in the last year and that's enough for me for now.
