Yes the safety factor is a big plus. 100% improvement with the new lights would not be an over estimate on what my old lights performed like. But another big benefit is that I did now like the 9 inch height the old style lights had. The new ones cut it down to 4 1/2 inch height. The car's sleak look always was handicapped with the stock lights in my opinion.

dtomaso1, Thanks for the picture. In your article you mention that there are vendors that carry them in metal. Which vendors are these? I like the chrome, so I'd have to get the metal ones.

By the way, I was one of the first folks to put money down on the lights, Randy got to be the experimental lab rat for the installation.

Husker,

It's been some time since I did that mod. At the time, Pantera Performane and Precision Performance had the metal bumpers. The glass ones were from Pantera East. Be prepared for some metal trimming to get them perfect!

Unfortunately, I have never seen his site work. All links are dead.

Kats, I have his phone number if needed. His site needs a little TLC. Sometimes it works when you click on the Panther's eyes. He has some neat design concepts but no current products.

It can't be all that hard.

So, yet another project gets added to the "#7024 to do list", to build a set myself, it can't be that hard surely? A littel while ago I found a source for the Hella H9 90mm lenses in low and high beam complete with mountings and adjusters for about $60 each. With a bit of metal work, some CF and a good chunk of time I reckon I can pull a set together for a reasonable cost. It's not high priority, but when I do get round to it I'll document it and post here.

Let us know how this works out. I think if you make them lower profile than Kirk's, you may be onto something! Price does seem kinda' high, but them I'm sure Kirk has a lot invested in these.

He does, and in all fairness to Kirt for a job well done, time is money.

Kirt is working with me on a set of the old style. From here I'll work on it.

But it is going to be hard to better perfection.
