Hey guys (and gal) can you tell me what carb you have/beleive is the correct original carb for our cars. I have a later Holley carb.
Thanks Denis |

The original carb was a Ford Autolite. I have one at my house in Tempe AZ but am now up in Flagstaff. When I go down in a week or 2 I will take some photos of it.It was rebuilt to the tune of 600+$ and came with 8 MA 1126 which I put a Holley on to be able to drive the car. Jerry

Jerry, Are you saying the Autolite carb was not a good performer? Which carb runs best on your cars? I have a Holley 4776-2 and on the trip to Kingston my car performed well but consumed TWICE the gas a the Panteras.

Denis I posted photos of my Autolite carb under the buying and selling area in response to your post on engine number. Jerry

Jerry, How different is the response/gas mileage/ performance between the Automlite and the Holley?
