If you can't fix it with a hammer.....you have an electrical problem.

I saw/found a rather inexpensive DYI EFI kit that uses OEM periphials. At like $300, it would bring IR EFI into line with webers, any thoughts? The kit can be seen at: MSEFI

look around. There are several shops who will provide a turnkey and tested solution. They will drill/weld the necessary injector bungs into any manifold. One shop I spoke to was in Florida, the cost around $3K.

Trying to parts together an EFI system is asking for trouble. If something is miss-matched or not wired properly it will be a real pain to solve. Overall the EFI systems are easy to understand, but for a new person into the field can be overwhelming.

This one just scares me, feels like one asking for trouble it they do not have the expertise.

By the way I have a full multi-port EFI setup on a crate 351W. Nothing better the having it pre-run at the factory and droping it in and running. Trying to troubleshoot a non-starting EFI system would have been many wasted hours.
