Has anybody installed those tongues that go in the exhaust port? Is there any benefit in using them? I have the 4v closed chamber heads and the inlets have been epoxy filled but i have seen these plates available?Any one have any thoughts on these?

If you have the intakes filled you also need to have the intake manifold also filled to match you heads. I've used the exhaust port tongues that you mentioned but can't comment on them except prone to leaking.

I've got a set of the exhaust tongues to test soon on the dyno on the club/forum 351C dyno mule.

I've welded in tongues for my current engine build. I also will be filling the exhaust header a bit so that the transition will be smooth. Not having a base engine, will make the benefits difficult to quantify. Dan Jones will have all the answersa for us.

I had the expoy filled in my heads and apparently it was done years ago and began to fall apart, I have used the porta plates in my Boss 302 and now in the 351 C and yes it does make a difference, I swear by them as we did a dyno before & after- and they do make a big diffrence- as they smooth out the turbulance with gas that flows through the heads
