has anybody tried to install the new 5.0 coyote engine into a pantera.

I would love to. It should be very similar to a 4.6 or 5.4 swap as they are comparable in dimensions and use the same bellhousing.

It is possible.
Intake is symetrical so you can swap it facing rearwards. Deck lid to throttle body clearance might become a problem - depending what intake is choosen.
