Great link comp2. I check out your site often.

For hidden and accessable areas I would use POR15.

For non-accessable areas I would use an anti rust oil spray coating like "Rust-Check" spayed into the area. Rust-Check will also creep into the lap joints and help prevent corrosion there.

My 2 cents

I will probably try something like that in a few spots when the paint is done.

Thanks for the reply comp2,
Appreciate your sand blast info., though I actuallly have been here and done that. What I am looking for is chemicals to use and application techniques to flush all obscure areas that can not be media blasted. Eastwood has a product Called fast etch which is boasted to neutralize rust. This product then needs to be neutralized with their pdoduct Pre in order assure primer adhesion. In my head is potential solution that involves placing a solvent resistant tarp and large recovery container below the area to be treated and pump chemicals through selected areas. Looking for chemicals that are better and more cost effective than from Eastwood.

If you can't get to it I would avoid flushing. I would stick with the coatings which contain and stop rust. I sprayed something like that from Eastwood inside my channels. I have heard several storied of solvents coming out later and ruining paint jobs as well as clean areas disintegrating from the inside out.

If you can't get to it, I would not flush it, just coat it with a rust neutralizer coating. That's just my opinion.

And oh, the Eastwood spray bottle for spraying the inside channels was a disaster. That black Sh** wouldn't come off the face, hair, arms or whatnot for a couple days!
