What has your experience been getting GT4 fiberglass fenders. Who offers them and how has the quality been?
Thanks

Pantera East online catalog lists them at $275 (not sure if that is for 1 or 4?). They also have a set of four in steel listed for $1650. I'm thinking steel would be worth the extra investment while going to all that trouble. Question is do you want the add-on riveted look or the seemless molded in look?

How much of the existing fender has to be cut away?

like the riveted look. Plus I'm building a race car so it doesn't make sense to spend money on something that will need to get fixed. It's not if you crash but when...no matter how good you are!

THank for the hook ups. I finally found a place.

Grrrrrowlllllll,

Larry Stock advertises the metal flares, and Hall Pantera had the fiberglass versions at one time.

Joules, got to cut the fender, its a "no turning back" type of modification.

I love the group 4 look too. I'm chicken though. Maybe someday........

George,

The chisel is all lined up for when #7024 arrives and as you can see I've been researching flare proces. But like you say when it comes down to actually putting the cutter to the metal, it's a big move. I too love the Group 4 look and will take encouragement from some of the great GT4 conversions appearing within our membership. They too were once in that decisive moment and look how most of those turned out

Being new to the scene, Larry Stock is located where?

Guys,

please share your conversions with us on the DTBB so we can learn at your expense! Wink

Can't wait to view the finished products. Joules, Larry Stock, Pantera Parts Connection, Reno Nevada! (800) 338-6627 or (775) 856-7011.

By the way, if you haven't acquired the wheels yet, I believe Steve Wilkinson has 17" group 4 clones on sale at a bitchen price! Good luck dudes!

your friend on the DTBB, George

George-
I am at PIM a lot and you are close. We'll hook up sometime. Wheels are in the works thus the few weeks to completion. I am eliminating all extra lights on the car. No bumpers etc. It is going to be a very smooth looking car. Not as nice as GOES 200, but similar. Lots of carbon fiber. It will not be most people cup of tea, but I love race cars...

Pics soon!
