I am contemplating the purchase of a 71 that has been the subject of a major restoration including engine out repaint. Rockers were replaced prior to paint. Anyone have a checklist of where best to look for other rust damage? Thanks

Mike: Thanks for the link to Pantera Place. I go to see the car for the second time on Sunday, I will take my magnet, ice pick, and flashlight. Thanks again. Fred

Thanks for all the info. Checked out every inch of the car... No rot. The car was professionally repainted and both inner and outter rocker panels were redone after bare metal prep. Now the proud owner of a 71 bone stock Pantera. White with 22k original miles. Thanks again.

Hi Fred, I see that you got some good info before you looked at the car. It appears that you were quite enthusiastic after seeing it again on Sunday and even more so after the test drive on Tuesday. I think that you will have a lot of fun with the new toy. Give her a good home.
