i have done a bit of thinking, and that generally leads to a bundle of trouble. i never really liked the dash board and instrument cluster on the console especially with the vertically aligned radio. sooooo.....

has anyone repositioned the guages onto the windshield pillar?? this would open up a lot of console space and i think look pretty cool.

putting all 4 guages on the pillar might be a bit tight so maybe the ammeter could go to the left of the speedometer.

of course, i suspect this eventually leads to fabricating a new dash, etc. and etc.

thoughts anyone ?????

If you were going to do that don't bother refitting the ampmeter, they are trouble anyway.
I am in the process of redoing my interior where the gauges will sit horizontally, same with the radio.
I plan to make it look like the way ( I believe ) it should have been done !
Wilkinsons do a nice horizontal dash panel for em. do a search, has been done before.
