Well, there is something you don't see every day. Glad everyone, and every car, ended up OK in the end. I think sometimes a good story is worth more than the cost of repairs...I hope he feels the same way. :-)

I think all of us will have had a sick feeling in our stomach reading Michel's story, David, because it could have been any one of us. It has nearly been me a few times. I'm going to remind myself of the story and your photos each time I take the cat out, and resolve yet again to slow down if conditions are the least bit sketchy.

Kudos to you, Gaetan and the others for taking care of Michel and making sure the tow truck did not make the damage worse.

Old enough to know better and still young enough not to care.

Michel,

I just happened to call David about 5 minutes afterwards but he couldn't talk more than to tell me what had just happened. I was feeling sick for the next half hour until I could speak more with him to get more details. When I finally saw the photos, I couldn't believe how little damage there was to the car. In a very unlucky situation, you had incredible luck.

This was not a very happy ending to what was an otherwise spectacular day, but I can think of no better group of guys to have around under such circumstances. Quick-thinking, resourceful and comforting in a time of need. Pretty much sums up most of the Pantera guys I know.

I am very glad that you are OK and that the car was not severely damaged. Now that the pit in your stomach has no doubt cleared, you can move on to the next stage: what colour?

Mark

I'm happy to hear you're ok, Michel!

Your Pantera even looks good upside-down!
