At the Concorso Italiano I saw a red GT5-bodied Pantera, number 1445 (See photos in the Registry). This is the car that was discussed on the forum, as it has a cross-ram intake manifold. I spoke with the owner, and gave him my card when I took some photographs. I was told it was going up on the Russo & Steele auction the next night. I told him to contact me if it didn't sell, as I could possibly help. I watched it cross the block, not meeting reserve at a mere $29,000 high bid. I contacted a couple of potential buyers who seem interested. One or both parties contacted Russo & Steele to make an offer, and was told the car was sold now.

Does anyone know the owner? I didn't get his contact details. It WAS listed in Hemmings, but the ad is now gone, as is the contact info. Anyone know if it actually sold?
Auction houses have been notorious for "slight" errors regarding sales - grin.

Hi Chuck,
This car did sell at the auction. The owner that had it for sell was Dave Martell from Arizona. The Russo & Steele site shows the sale prices of the cars from past auctions.

According to the Russo and Steele website, the car sold for $71,500.00.

That seems like a ton of money with or without a buyer's premium.

There were two red Panteras that crossed the block at Russo & Steele, the $29K car was far more stock.

The $71k sounds reasonable if it was as nice in person as in pics linked above. Looks to be a beautiful car. I would at it to the stable.
