The buyers feedback from ebay shows most activity from the European ebay sites. I am thinking that Mangusta is headed to Europe, perhaps Germany.

my

my bet is that it was Roger Bretton out of England who has been looking for a project goose. He has a body shop I believe.Course I'm usually wrong. If I had not just bought the project Goose out of Lake Tahoe I would have bid on that one.Body looked good with quality floors put in.Jerry

Hey Jerry, When Jim said the frame was reinforced.... WOW, MAN OH MAN... The rear almost looks stock but the tunnel looks like a part off a tractor. What did you say you want to use for a motor? Aluminium 5.0L with a blower....

Still a big project but tremendous opportunity and possibilities

Yea Denis I think the pics show why I bought this car. Top quality work on the frame which was recreated (much thicker metal and added reinforcing) from the original sad example and original DeTomaso drawings which I got with the car.. Car panels all unusable as they are thin, bent and riddled with rust holes and held together by fiberglass/bondo but what a frame and central spine. Front frame also reinforced . It does present a challenge but hey I have a good sheet metal man who is looking forward to the project.Plan to put in a heavily built 450 HP motor with downdraft Webers which would severely tax a regular Mangusta frame ( read: wreck it). -1 transmission will be a rebuilt with improvements by Les Gray in Phoenix. I love the Mangusta folding hatches with the interior space and big windows to show off the motor (after the 3 engine covers are removed and stored in a vault). The body panels will be modeled after the mangusta prototype shown at the 1966 Turin Motor Show, which was Giorgetto Giugiaro's initial design and it is a knockout.Jerry

Also converting the pop up headlights (of which most parts are missing) to quad headlights , as in the prototype, consequently looking for quad headlight assemblies with surrounds( yea ,I know , impossible but it doesn't hurt to ask). Jerry

Jerry,

While your metal man is at it, have him make up about 10 copies of each piece! Should recoup some of your investment(s)!!!!
