HI ALL. Just my thought's of selling a car oversea's. It seem's to me that although some people would rather not sell their car's to oversea's buyer's to keep the car's in the U.S. there are other's [probably the majority] that would rather not get involved with the logistic's of exporting the car to a oversea's buyer. First and foremost to the seller would be the payment for the car [ receiving / confirming / cashing / exchange rate's / extra charge's levied / transport to exporting dock etc] before even letting the car out of their sight [expecially with fraudulant payment's etc. that seem so rampant today]
Second i think would be the language barrier that could easily be mis-interpereted by either party as to car description
condition price etc. [Especially if dealing with someone who hasn't even seen / driven the car in person]
Dealing with problem's with an un-satisfied oversea's buyer[for what ever reason]after sale and delivery could easily turn out to be a real P.I.T.A. for both party's. I PERSONALLY feel that it would be a lot easier to sell in the U.S.A. [sorry to all oversea's enthusiast's] especially as local as possible so that any potential buyer's could come see / drive the car for themselve's and have all the [first hand information] needed to make an informed decision. Or at the very least have the car checked out by other TRUSTED KNOWLEDGEABLE PANTERA ENTHUSIAST'S and even then [if the car seem's to be what you are looking for]if possible check out the car in person. Let's face it these are not cheap car's and they are prone to some problem's here and there [some worse than other's] In conclusion do your home work / know what you are looking for / at determine what level of skill's you have to do the repair's that may be needed now or in the for seeable future[un-less you are going to out source the work $$$] and factor into your decision.
JOHN
