George,. Allow me to recap, so I understand correctly, some Late 71s - could have valve deleted with a factory riveted block off plate, most would have an Aux fresh air valve and would certainly be slightly taller than 73-74 (with EGR) and be clocked at #8 , painted lid , Zinc wingnut (but I prefer the fancy ones lol )

Looks like I have a late 71 air cleaner assembly. (Per 2108). 2636 has some early charactoristics Now one more, an early air cleaner!

My choice of paint will be VHT Ford Dark Blue (Corporate blue) .

BTW George your eye for detail is amazing. Much of what you pointed out I would have never caught. I would hang on the sidelines if your judging but be taking copius notes. LOL
