Thanks Rick,
The insurance appraiser looked at the car today. They sent an independent appraiser who seemed to know his stuff. But he also warned me that the insurance company is likely to low ball me in spite of his report. So I guess I'll be waiting for his numbers and then see where we're at.
If I'm not happy, I'll pay for my own appraisal, and contact you for advice on how to deal with negotiating a fair settlement.
