Reply to "Bench bleeding master brake cylinder"

Yes, it is best to bench bleed the brake master.  I do it on the car by fabricating a pair of brake lines that go into the reservoir.  The lines need to end below the fluid level.  Then just pump the brake pedal until no more air bubbles are happening.  This is easiest done with a helper or camera on a tripod.

You can still get the brake master to work without bench bleeding but it may take a long time.
