A 56 lb battery won't fit in the '92-95 MR-2 turbo's battery well. It's carried INSIDE the high pressure spare tire up in the front trunk. My battery came from Wal-Mart but Costco also carried it. This type came with dual posts, both conventional vertical posts and the side-mount screw connectors.

As a dropped battery, the side connectors won't work since they will be right up against the sheet metal rack mount under the trunk floor. If your battery has side connectors and you use a dropped battery position, be sure to get the plastic shipping plug for side mount connectors, to guard against something working its way in between the hot side post and the sheet metal. Don't worry about a plug for the ground connection.
