Reply to "copper water tubes"

The combination of larger dia water pipes and them being made of copper might in fact help cooling a little. Biggest problem with this setup is, the tubes then radiate heat into the passenger compartment, overwhelming the pitiful stock A/C, unless you rip out the console and heavily insulate it. The gearshift stick sometimes gets too hot to touch! Thats why most of us went the other way, to stainless steel water tubes which do NOT radiate heat well, and made changes in the radiator, water pump etc instead. Most Panteras don't have a heating problem over 25 mph; the trick is to add fans that will blow a 25mph breeze thru the radiator at lower speeds. The stock fans will not do this, and sucker fans are more efficient than pusher fans.
