Be aware that all '74 dashes are embossed vinyl with no covering at all. The early dashes are upholstered. And while physically mounting the late dash in your early Pantera is not difficult, getting the defrosters to work is... The vents in the early unit are in different places than in the late and are round rather than elongated, so you'll need to adapt some hoses and maybe fabricate some sort of hose attachment to the AC/heater box, then figure out how to route it without interfering with the tach. speedo and all the wiring.
