I am not good with wiring, so I go back to basics. I'd start with disconnecting the offending headlight and patch-cord wires to it from the fuse box. It may be the plug going to the bulb.If you get a bright light with patch-cords, the trouble is within one of the bypassed wires and you just chew your way along with a VOM until the problem shows up. If its still dim, theres a problem with the supplied voltage and again, you at least have a starting point- at the fuse box. Most of the in-line connectors will give problems unless unplugged, sprayed out or even wire-brushed clean. Sounds like you could also use a schematic and all the vendors & most of the clubs sell a laminated 11x 17 one quite cheaply.
