Reply to "EBAY Pantera for $5,300!? Misprint or Hoax??"

You guys are the best. I ran across an ebay Pantera with a $5500 buy it now and emailed the seller asking if it were a misprint. My father just retired from the Pentagon on November 1,2005. I have ran across scams on ebay before, but this one nearly had me fooled. I have been waiting for my father to get home so I could call and discuss whether or not he would check and verify if this guy was actually millitary or not. In other words I was still researching whether it was a scam, but then I ran across this post and the email that Cyboman posted is allmost identicle, only different name. I had to register to show my appreciation to all you guys. It saves me the lecture from my father. Since Ebay is not doing anything about it other than removing the listings, I intend to get this information into the right hands. Cyboman, if you read this, or if anyone else gets an email like the one Cyboman posted please foward it to me(gypsy@myspeedworks.com)I need the email with the I.P. address. This guy is not just breaking civil law but is also impersonating a millitary official. I would love to see this guy taken into custody. This is the email I recieved today........

this car is the BUY IT NOW price ($5.500) . Will be shipped over sea to NY,

I work as a sergeant in the US army and i was deployted to work here in
Ullapool for a while. I've brought the car here with me 1 week ago so i can
drive it during my free time but i found out that i have to pay a large
amount of money to register the car here, because it was purchased and
registred in US and Europe emission regulations are different from US ones.
I only go home once in 8 months, it's a shame to keep a car like this
garraged for such a long time .
If you are interested, get back to me and i'll let you know the terms of
this deal.
Thank you ,

Sgt. Stew Harding
