Reply to "Seeking Advice Concerning How To Correct An Engine Misfire"

Many thanks for all your advice.

- I checked the relay. It provides full battery voltage to the coil with all consumers (fuel pump, choke and coil) connected

- The external fuel filter is clean, however, there are no filters installed in the Holley. My carburetor is a modified one and seems that those filters were removed.....

- I have a standard oil pump installed

- In case the fuel line and tank supply pipe are too small then I should see a drop of fuel pressure far more than 1.5 psi, right? Do you know what the minimum fuel pressure for a Holley should be to support 500+ HP? is 4.5 Psi enough, like in my case?

 - A temporary 1 gallon tank with an electric pump running directly into the carb is an interesting idea, but requires some preparation work. Not sure whether the insurance company will pay in case the car catches fire ;-)

- When I opened yesterday the fuel line of the secondary bowl (looking for the filter) something small fell out of the supply. It dropped on the dirty floor and could not assign it. That piece could have been some debris partially blocking the fuel supply....I will open a bottle of Champagne if the fix would have been so easy... will test the car on the week-end
