Reply to "Engine Numbers & GTS Wheel Arches"

Hi,
Congrats on your pantera. Best way to get the history is to use the plate number from Torino on the front of the car, the "motorizzazione civile" in Italy can do a search for a modest fee. By the way those "black" plates are original fron the 1960 to the end of the 1970's only for Italian cars, it would be a "prima immatricolazione" or first plate given that the car was in the US. All except for the dash goes for it being a GTS Euro version. You may want to call RS corse in Modena as they own the original archives from the factory. I have an early pushbutton but owned a 73 GTS with 72 numbers while in Italy and came from factory with the 8 and 7 on arriva tires.
Cheers!
