Reply to "Exhaust Manifolds Wanted"

Approximately 100% of the original stamped steel headers cracked thru the sheet webbing between the tubes from heat expansion. We all got tired of the constant, unsafe exhaust leaks right next to the fuel tank and threw them away, substituting full-tube GTS headers from the Euro cars that did not crack. I've not seen a set on a Pantera that actually ran since the last century, that wasn't rewelded in at least one place. This cost saving mess was NOT one of Ford's "better ideas"!

In the black-cover Parts & Accessories Manual published in 1985, on pg 34 are shown the FIVE different series of factory Pantera exhaust headers with matching mufflers 1971-1985. #5 is for GTS/GT-5. There was also a separate factory gutted muffler for the Euro Gr-3. The sheet metal version Judge is referring to is version #4 for a one-piece rear bumper car, used only in the US (I think).
