Reply to "Ignition problem - no spark"

I eliminated all other possibilities and figured it must be the distributor, as they have that reputation.  The second time, I knew.   The car would just shut off while driving and then start right back up again w the key.  I knew, module.

P.S... Unfortunately there is no real way to spin up and bench test a distributor.  So, if you're certain the hot is hot and the ground is grounded ( grounds are the root of all evil )  and the spark is nonexistent or is sharp on and then sharp off, you have start thinking MSD.  I think most guys put the MSD boxes inside the car to help keep them cool.  You could toss in a $69 Chinese copy for confirmation and run it until the MSD gets back.  Definitely worth 69 bucks to run the car for 60/90/120 days while you're waiting...
