The cylinder you are referring to is likely a spin-on oil filter housing which uses a replaceable filter cartridge. That device is only as good as the filter cartridge. It might filter down to a small particle size but have low capacity or the inverse could be true. If useful information about that filter doesn’t becomes available swap it for a known spec oil filter. Beware!
Stainless steel braided hose and hose ends come in a wide verity of quality and configurations. The assemblies are known to “weep” by the hose end. That doesn’t necessarily mean that the assembly is compromised. The low end SS braided hose and ends are not worth using IMHO. The SS braid acts like a file to everything around it. There are many good quality hose system that are suitable for street cars. Just like everything else, there is low spec stuff for show and high spec equipment that is application specific.
