That has been my experience with selling all my extra MGB parts. The MG'rs are the cheapest lot. They want "NEW" stuff for pennies on the dollars. Most of the parts wouldn't sell. I had a fresh re-built pair of lever arm shocks. They sold for $20 which far far less then a core charge is for a junk set. He sent me back a note that when he turned them upside down they leaked. THEY WERE USED! THEY WERE $20!

I agreed to take them back for his $20 less my postage and ebay fees. What a cheap bastard. He lost about $10 bucks in the end.

After a couple experiences like that with MGB parts and cheap ass MGB bastards I gathered up all my spare parts and threw them in the dumpster. They were not worth my time.
