There is a ball and socket connection between the rear of the lock cylinder and the rod but it is not plastic. It's all metal. The rear of the cylinder has a metal ring with an arm containing the hole for the ball. The rod has a squarish metal block threaded onto the rod which has the hole. Can the ball still be pried out?
