4269 as the first L is documented in a few Ford/DeTomaso publications, Bill Van Ess's registry, etc. Check out page 2 of the orange 1971/74 parts catalog.

I run across info like that all the time, lock the facts in my mind, but I have difficulty remembering the sources. Age and alcohol are taking their tolls.
