Did you first check to see if the car already exists?

If you are adding a Pantera, did you use 5 digits in the "short VIN" field that is expecting only 4 digits?

The first section marked CRITICAL, is just that, critical. Any typos or errors, with these fields and the result is like you experienced.

I need to know at least the "short VIN" so I know what to search for.
