Reply to "overflow tank needed"

I guess I'm going with this home made tank a racer friend gave me. It does not have a cap on top. But this tank mounts lower than the swirl tank that has the pressure cap on it. The cap that was on my corroded tank was just a cap, no spring just a rubber gasket and some Italian writing on it. It is about the same size. Any body see anything wrong with this?
