Tim, know there is a special Registry for 9000-series cars such as yours. It is run by Peter Havlik in British Columbia, and #9050 (built '78) and #9053 (built '80?) are in Peter's List, but yours is missing at this time. There are nearly 150 such late model Panteras included, all the way to the last Pantera SI's, most with info and multiple photos. Contact Peter at [peter.havlik@ME.com].

Panteras built after Ford could be ordered from DeTomaso-Europe with an upgraded engine (350 bhp or more), so if in fact it has a modified engine or ZF, they may have been factory done.
