Hudson,

I have a 74. Antenna is mounted on the right (passenger) fender. The antenna was removable from the base. The base stayed on the fender. In time the antenna connection corroded and it would not hold the antenna "wip".

I found a replacement, same size and type antenna, (same size and type base) at the local Canadian Tire Store - $12. It is an antenna for Chrysler cars. Why don't you try your local PEP Boys or AutoZone ?
