with your help I have been working on the history of my Pantera. Since it had a number of changes and improvements over the years I posted an inquiry some time ago to find if anyone had information regarding a DeTomaso Weber manifold sitting on my motor and received a number of informative answers. Later I was sent the 1976 PI Magazine advertisement found among old car files by the son of the first owner. It was concerning my manifold and Webers. This was the setup bought by the first owner of my Pantera. It listed an $1800 price, but I have no idea what price was agreed on. Since the buyer was an experienced racer, so I tend to doubt that he manged to get the entire package for $600, even back in 1976, but who knows for sure. Price is of no concern to me since I own it and have no intention of selling it, but it's always fun to know the value. As it is, I am much more careful with my Pantera than I used to be as the values of our Panteras have gone out of sight. In some respects that's too bad. Even less will be seen on the road.
