Strange that the front 225/55R15 tire fell out of availability because it was original equipment on 3 series BMWs for many years.

That set of tires had the proper outside diameters (24.74" front & 26.91" rear). The front tires were the ideal width for the 15x7 campy, the rear tires were about an inch too wide, but were rated for 15x8 wheels minimum width.

The other two "sets" of tires the Pantera world needs is 225/50R15 and 285/50R15 for the GTS and Group 3 cars, and the 285/40R15 and 345/35R15 for the wide bodies. The Lamborghini Countach was equipped with 225/50R15 & 345/35R15 tires, so the Lamborghini owners would profit from the availability of those sizes as well.

I would gladly consider Longstone reproductions as long as the tires are available in sets, and are steel belted, speed rated, radial passenger car tires and NOT street legal race tires. I'd gladly help Longstone market them.

I figured that some Pantera owners might be happy about the potential of this happening. I had contacted both Pirelli and Yokohama awhile back, but only received a courtesy response from Yokohama. One representative from Pirelli sounded interested and would speak to his boss about it, but I never heard back from them.

Now that the Pantera values are going up and the Pantera's are getting some respect, it is nice that some vendors might be willing to address some of our requests.

By the way how many Grp IV and GT5 cars were made?

I know there were somewhere between 168 and 185 GT5-S cars built.
