A little. I showed Mike how to do this, but its not my innovation, either. Dennis Quella of PPC in Colorado began doing this shift-quickening mod in the '80s, and has done it on literally hundereds of Panteras. I believe most of the Pantera vendors & builders know of this mod. As it's quickly reversable. I am unaware of anyone that's put their car back to "stock" shifing after once trying it. THe only potential drawback is,once the detent is removed, the sliding portion of the shifter is exposed, so its a good practice to plug the hole with something, to keep dust & debris from falling in the opening. Duct tape, plastic panel plugs- even a thin piece of sheet-something RTV-ed over the hole will work.
