Stiching on dash? What years?

I was looking at the GT5-S on BraingaTrailer and noticed the dash is stitched together compared to the single pod dashes in the L cars which I assume were molded? All dual pod dashes are stitched, right? Was it only in 1980s that they started stitching the single pod dashes? In my searching/googling I noticed some cars have the stitching at the "edges" like that one and some have it where the inlay meets the dash. Is there a correct version? or like many Pantera things I'm learning, there's not an absolute correct version?
