Porterfield will weld a round pin to the back of the pad. When I replaced my stock pads with the Porterfields they had forgotten to do it and I had to ship them back. The stock pads had a square or rectangular stub rather than the round pin. Also I had to file down the pin because it was too long and contacted the brake first.
