Windscreen instrument reflections at night

Hi all,
I am wondering if anyone has come up with a good solution to solve the problem of reflections from the illuminated speedo and tacho in the windscreen when driving at night. I have searched around and found one old thread, but no follow up on it:

I have a 1974 with single pod dash.
