Reply to "ZR-1 for Pantera"

Thanks Madguy;

I'm glad to see you got yours. Tell us more about it.

You've gotta plan a route and do a tour like this to really appreciate these high performance cars, though. Tracks are fine, but out on the open road, or diving into 20mph turns at 50 is so much more exhilerating.

The Silver State Classic races are coming up in a couple of weeks. I haven't seen many Panteras in the last few years, but this is one of the only opportunities to run your car at whatever speed you choose for either the 55 or 90 mile course. The "dial-in" speeds run from around 90 to "open" where the average is usually 210+. The driver closest to his chosen speed is the winner in his class. I'm thinking of taking the ZR-1 and shooting for a "lazy" 140 or 150. That's a lot of stress on me, though. I might even be more conservative and keep it down to 120-130. You can view all the info at www.silverstateclassic.com.

You gotta do this once in your life before your reflexes and vision start to go.

I want to see less ricers and more Panteras this year, but I need to put this ZR-1 into someone else's hands before I try to do more than I can handle (ie. I'm getting too old for this stuff).
