The window trim is held in only by friction between the gasket & the body, maybe with some dried paint from a bad masking job glueing it in. Normally, all one needs to do is slip a flat-blade screwdrive between the frame & body & carefully pry the whole assembly out. Then, the glass removes very easily. Guys who attach the big air-scoops to their window frames and run at high speeds quickly find how easy the frames come out...Your car may have a couple of pop-rivits or sheet-metal screws in the chrome trim near the door seals, to counteract this. If so, remove them. Running without the glass does nothing to add drag, or get air into the engine since we think the boundary layer of air is about 3" thick at that point.
