Hi King and LIV1S,
thanks for the info. Does it mount so the license plate is 'beside' the blinker pod, or below the blinker pod. I do understand that it bolts to the bumper, not the blinker pod. Looking at the length of the vertical part of the bracket in the photo, it looks like it must be positioned beside the blinker pod. I have a fibreglass front bumper, not the original, so I guess that the bolts for attaching it are not there and I will have to fit them.
If anyone should happen to have a photo of it fitted to the car, it would be great, so I can see the position.
Cheers, Tim.
Here is a picture of the bottom of my original bumper.

The first stud is exactly 1-5/8" (41.275mm) to the center from the bulkhead on the left in the picture. No reason that I can see that you couldn't put it on the driver's side just to confuse the competition? Big Grin

I replaced my original with a fiberglass L bumper also.

Yikes! I had forgotten how heavy that thing is. Must be 50 pounds? Eeker

Fortunately on my car, the L bumper dissapears due to the black bottom half all the way round on my Pantera. I think it is also kind of interesting that I could only find two pictures of a Pantera with the L-bumper and the correct liscence plate bracket and with a lisence plate mounted when I spent quite some time surfing the Provamo site (admittedly I didn't look at every entry). One of them is on todays 'front page list' see 6233 Smiler No need to modify a Pantera to differentiate ones car, when going for as close to stock appearance as possible does the job Smiler I was also talking with one of the guys in the garage where my car lives and we were both adamant that it will be a great improvement to remove the lisence plate from being bolted in the middle of the bumper and placing it asymetrically in the correct stock place. That is what is so cool about the Pantera - we can all personalise the car to our own likeing and each approach is just as legitimate as the next.
Cheers, Tim.

What on gods earth could worsen the ugly look of any L Panteras kryptonite, the ugly rubber frontbumper. Wink

Form follows function. I personally like the thing and find the solution to the problem clever.

I don't like the mass it adds to the car. Personally I hate yellow Panteras but hey, no one asked me and none of us are perfect? Smiler

A solution for a "problem" invented by sick law guys.
Go back to pre L bumpers is also a solution.
I converted all of my panteras, avatar is old.
And in the instant you remove the bumper from the car, it turns into another one.

With bumper you see something you don't really understand why (of course, because of the stupid law issues), and then suddenly, ten minutes later, you have a countach rival. Big Grin

Well thanks for calling me and us in the US stupid. Much appreciated. Wink

I don't think it is a stupid law at all. It was a "minimal" requirement and has lead to better integration of bumpers into vehicles.

I personally think that the front of the car looks unfinished without it.

I wouldn't use the term stupid to describe someone else's tastes, but that's just me.

I would suggest that there likely is a better word to use?
If I’m not mistaken, the bumper law that “ruined the Countach” no longer exists. The standard was lowered from 5 mph to 2.5 mph many years ago. Most of those 5 mph Countach bumpers are hanging in owner’s garages because Euro bumpers were retrofitted. FYI, the EU has 2.5 mph (4.0 kph) bumper standards too although not quite as stringent as the USA.
To return to the OP, along with David's post, some enlightened States in the U.S. enact sensible laws. For instance, my state of NV has a law that says a front license plate need not be used if the car was delivered without one & has no obvious place to mount such. I carry a copy of that law printed from the NV DMV Handbook inside both our one-plate '97 Z-28 & our '72 Pantera, for the benefit of curious policemen. No problems with this so far. Politeness pays off, too. Dunno about Denmark laws, though.
