I am looking at Pantera #1574 which is a heavily modified 1971 with GT5 flares, GTS interior, Modified motor and deep dish 15 and 17 inch wheels. It is purported to look like it was a Hall build some time in the 1990/early 2000's. All the major work was done before it was sold at the 2006 Las Vegas Barrett-Jackson auction. At that time it had a pale burgandy interior which is now black. According to ProvaMo it is reported to have been owned by an individual named Robert Leavy in Nevada at one time and also that it may have originally white (it's black now.)
Does anyone have any information on this car?
If so you can reply here or call me at 508-248-1555.
Thanks in advance.

Yes and they are still trying to sell it. They think it was a Gary Hall build but they don't know for sure. I emailed Tara ...she was out of town and will be getting back to me this week. Jerry doesn't know the history of the car and that's why I put the inquiry out there.
I get the feeling that Hall is just a parts house now. Any idea what happened to his shop crew after his passing?
Many of them struck out on their own.

I thought the Byers Bros. worked for Gary, Les Grey did, and Mike Cook did... these are some of the famous ones... all highly qualified.

PS... there are very good Pantera expert on the East Coast too. Ron McCall in Maryland, and Pat Mical in Boston... Kirk Evans is in Northwestern Ohio. All highly regarded.

Gary kept records of everything. If you can convince Tara to dig thru a large collection of papers, maybe.... Note that real Ultra and Super-Panteras all had Fontana aluminum-block Cle-vor engines & alloy heads. And your info so far on the car came from a pre-1994 source, with no indication that it had been modified at that time.

Thkx for the mentioning Pantera Miami Rocky, been at it since '77. Apparently we don't qualify :-(

Hi Shark -

Didn’t realize you worked at Hall Pantera, or serviced a lot of cars out of Boston... I am sure Dennis Quella and Roland Jackel will be getting on my case next.

Honestly, though - I didn’t know you serviced cars.

I know nothing about your business, so it never crossed my mind to mention it...

But now we know...
