I tried searching the forum but couldn't find what I'm looking for.

For us newbies it would be great to have a compilation photo of the variants of the Pantera as it evolved from 1971 to the 90's like the one attached. Even better if it is annotated 71/71, 73/74, GTS, etc.

What if we used this thread to collect side shots of Panteras? I could do the compilation/annotation if I'm given the information.

Comments?

PS I "stole" this compilation photo from Pinterest.

Cool pictures JFB.

Dennis - You do realize that Lambo "evolution" from Pinterest is not an evolution of a single model, but an evolution (?) of different models of Lambos over the years.

Here are some sample model evolutions:
Corvette

Mustang

For a manufacturer evolution of DeTomaso, I imagine it might have to include the following:

De Tomaso 801 (race car)

De Tomaso 505-38 (race car)

Vallelunga

Sport 5000 (also known as the 70P, P70 and Ghia DeTomaso)

De Tomaso 5000

De Tomaso Sport 2000

Mangusta

Pantera

Deauville

Longchamp

Innocenti Mini

Guarà

Biguà (Qvale Mangusta)

2011 De Tomaso Deauville concept car
I'm being a fussy butt. But I was involved with Mustangs from the mid-1970s and into the late 1980s when the Mustang restoration craze first started. I'm irked by the fact that the "50 year Mustang" poster that Garth posted is wrong. There were 4 iterations in the earliest generations before the Mustang II. They were 64-1/2 through 66, 67 through 68, 69 through 70, and 71 through 73.

A 1967 fastback is my fave by the way.

Back to the Pantera evolution topic.

Agreed! I didn't even catch that. By the way, 66 is my favorite, and my first car which I still own and am currently restoring!
