Hi all,

I'm looking at my fuse block and noticed a wire from fuse #9 is not connected. (see illustration) According to the wiring schematic there should be two wires coming off fuse 9, a blue going to the cigar lighter, and a blue/black going to the starter interlock, both accounted for in the illustration. The schematic does not show this third wire, and I cannot figure out what it is for and if I need to hook it up.

My car is a later 1974 L model and is completely stock as far as I know. Any ideas?

sjdennis; It would appear that the green wire you are referring to is for the windshield wiper motor, and goes on fuse #8. There are three green wires that come off the violet wire to the hazard warning, windshield wiper and washer switch. You can pull the green wire off the fuse completely to determine if its the wiper motor.

Jag, I have verified that the lose green wire is indeed for the hazard warning lights. (Thanks Forest) Both #8 and #9 are unswitched power so I will just repair the connector and hook it back up to #9 and note this in my wiring schematic for future reference. BTW the Pantera electronics websight has a photo of an L model fuse block with the wiring just like mine. (Ie green wire to #9)

Perhaps the factory started wiring hazard warning lights to #9 instead of #8 and didn’t tell the guys doing the schematics.
