Here you go from Ferrari Chat:
Anybody have experience with a Pantera? Compared to 308/328?

Completely different cars. The Pantera is brutal- goes straight fast & loud & will GET YOU IN TROUBLE, (read: into your neighbors pool), if you get too aggressive on turns. Look out for structural rust. Basically, an American hot rod in an Italian suit.
And:
Is that considered an Italian car? I had one beat me out in a Best Italian car show & the announcer questioned it, but nobody even knew what the car was/is.
And:
I've owned both the 3.2 Ferrari [328] & Pantera. "The Ferrari is a graceful ballerina, the Pantera is a HOOKER."
And:
The Ferrari is a studied prize fighter, the Pantera is a street fighter!
And:
I'm totally hopeless in Pantera, I'm 6'4". Sad.
Good one next:
Inspect the wiring, too many have burnt because of shorts. I had one Pantera with a GTS engine & it was a blast to drive.
And on & on & on...

I have a 72 pre-L and a '88 328 .. they are 16 years apart in age so it's tough to compare. The Ferrari is more sophisticated .. easier to drive .. and a lot slower. It's a GTS and driving with the roof section off is enjoyable. The Pantera, as we all know, is like the street fighter someone mentioned. Brutally fast (even in near stock configuration), a real handling handful .. it makes you work for every corner. At the gas station it is the mystery car and draws lookers like pigeons on popcorn. I could drive the 328 for hundreds of miles without stretching my legs .. the Pantera is a 100 mile car .. maybe my old age is speaking. They are both great in their own way .. don't listen to those FerrariChat guys .. they tend to be a bit snobby.
I love the Hooker vs ballerina comparison. Not having been with a ballerina I can't compare, but my hooker is still remaining young while I am aging. Old men do love younger woman for good reason.

Ha ha Ferrari people. Yes fun Pantera quotes, but I especially like the Lambo quote. Will need to inform my hooker.
