I was glad they tried! I didn't realize that was Fraser-Dante. I think I bought a 73 Jag V12 Etype roadster from them way back when (1989?) and a local acquaintance purchased a Shelby.

The Pantera appears to have had lots spent on it, and reasonably well-done. Have you seen the car? If so, is the new BIN price "getting close" to real market in your estimation?

As I continue to pour more into my car (but enjoying the 'hobby' as much as ever doing so) I see these somewhat 'pricier' Panteras and think financially how sound they can be... if done right. Just looking for your thoughts there.
Seems I see that more and more on ebay. A whopping BIN price, many missed attempts (or even close ones!) and then the car just disappears.

I guess they scare up enough interest along the way to find a real prospect. I've begun to notice more "Make Offers" getting taken as well. This used to NEVER happen. Ebay's turning a bit more into the electronic car lot with that strategy and less of an 'auction only' format.

I just thought you might've seen the car 'in person' and could comment.

Nice collection of toys you've got!

My point was, that it had failed to reach $41K the first couple of times on Ebay. I then wondered how Fraser Dante planned on selling it by increasing the asking price by $17-18K?

There was once a man from Nantucket...opps wrong story!
I was interested in a convertible Torino at cars-on-line that had a asking price @ $50,000. Made contact with the owners rep and decided that it was more then I thought it was worth. Well it stayed online for a while then bang the price had jumped to $75,000.00. That car had stayed on this site for six months @ $50,000.00 then a $25,000.00 jump it was on there for a very long time. I havent looked to see if it is still for sale.
But I guess you can never understand someone elses motivation for doing these things.

Thanks! I think I've asked you before, where in AL are you located?

Sorry - if you asked I missed it, but I'm in Montgomery. I don't have any idea where Harvest is! I thought I knew my cities and towns!

I just saw the 71 in question listed again. Looks like a WAY more complete ad this time, and bidding is up in the $40s.

We'll see what happens.
