Curt, are you still looking for a sugar scoop spoiler. I had sold several and thought that all I had was a mold to make the spoilers, and when I pulled it out I realized that there was a spoiler placed in the mold still. I am going to sell the spoiler and the mold on ebay in a few days if you are not still looking for one. PM me if interested still in the spoiler.
Thanks, Kevin
These decorative 'spoilers' are available from all the vendors including PPC-Reno, who also owns molds. Also called 'Boxer' spoilers, they were the result of a rare design mistake by Ferrari. The original mid-70s Ferrari Boxer was carbureted and had its intakes at the rear of the decklid. Then Ferrari found that at high speeds, the sugar-scoop decklid (just like a Pantera) caused airflow to arc way up over the carb intakes, causing the engine to go lean and burn valves. The little spoiler bent airflow downward enough on a Boxer to prevent this from happening. On a Pantera with its far-forward carb intake, they are sunshades....
